Madalyn was born in Portland, Oregon on August 24th, 1956.  Her father, Harland Wolf, was a C.P.A. but always had a life long love of the Theatre.   When he was young he had dreamed of being a Shakespearian actor.  Unfortunatly WWII and family responsibilities kept him from persuing that dream.   Her mother, Dorathy, was a band singer with the Eric Corea Dance Band in the late 1940's early 1950's, she sang under the name of D'Ada McKay.

Madalyn's first memory of performing was singing with her mother on a demo tape when she  was three years old.   The song was "Hi Lili, Hi Lo" and she sounded like she was three.  She  can still do a fair imitation of it.

A few years later on a trip to Los Vegas her family stopped in to see an old friend of her mother's, Red Skelton, who was performing atThe Sands Hotel.     He invited the family to attend that evening's performance.  After finding out that it was Madalyn's  7th birthday he brought her up on stage and lead the audience in singing "Happy Birthday".    You could say that  is when she first decided that the stage and performing was very much the place she wanted to be.

The family moved to Bend, Oregon where she went to school first at Kenwood Grade School and later at Cascade Jr. High.. Performing in the schools concert programs in both the Choir (Soprano and soloist), and in the  Orchestra (cello).

Later the family moved to Redmond, Oregon where she attended Redmond Union High School.    Again she performed in school concerts.   While attending Redmond High School they started up a drama program.  She played the Nanny in their production of Winnie the Pooh.  She also sang at the Community Presbyterian Church as both soloist and as part of their holiday productions.

For three years she sang the  National Anthem for the Deschutes County Rodeo.

In 1975 she was chosen to travel to Europe with "America's Youth In Concert" as part of the Choir we sang in Italy, Austria, Switzerland, France and England.

Madalyn  didn't start working on her career full time until after college when she entered the San Francisco Symphony Chorus in 1980.      She sang with them for two years until  my mother passed away in 1982.

She then moved to New York City where she has been working in theatre, film, and TV. ever since.
